The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly analytical and curious Market Analyst to join the Strategic Planning team at Puig. This role will play a critical part in building the fact base that underpins Puig’s strategic decisions, translating complex market, industry, and macroeconomic data into clear, actionable insights. Working closely with the Strategic Planning Manager and reporting to the Strategic Planning director, you will contribute to developing strategic assumptions and building the strategic fact base.
What you'll get to do
- Macro & External Insights: Assess macroeconomic dynamics (GDP, inflation, consumer confidence, FX, etc.) and external signals, translating them into clear implications for Puig’s markets, categories, and brands.
- Market & Industry Analysis:
- Analyze market performance, market growth forecast, category trends, and competitive dynamics to inform future growth outlooks and strategic implications.
- Monitor Sell Out/Sell In data, market shares, and growth drivers to identify opportunities and risks to the strategy.
- Track and interpret industry trends, innovations, and best practices to inform strategic thinking.
- Strategic Planning Support: Build the analytical foundation for key planning cycles (e.g., 3YBP, long-term strategy) leveraging macro, industry and market insights, coordinating inputs and influencing x-functional stakeholders, while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and robustness of data across all strategic materials.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor key indicators, identify deviations vs. plan, and provide analytical diagnosis of underlying drivers and implications.
- Insight Generation and Executive Communication: Synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights, contributing to high-impact strategy decks and senior leadership discussions.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Market Intelligence, Consumer Insights, Finance, Markets, and Brand teams to gather insights and validate analyses.
We'd love to meet you if you have
- 3–5 years in market analysis, or analytics roles in strategy or consulting
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to structure and synthesize data
- Advanced Excel & PowerPoint (BI tools and Think cell a plus)
- Clear communicator with executive-ready output quality
- Proactive, rigorous, and detail-oriented
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Beauty/luxury industry exposure is a plus.
