The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager of the category and leading a small team of Scientists, the Formula Development Manager is responsible for the development and launch of all new formulas launches for selected beloved brands. The scope includes hydroalcoholic fragrances and their line extensions/complements, from concept to industrialization.

What you'll get to do

Formulation

  • Develops high‑performing formulas for fragrances and line extensions, managing all steps from concept development to production.
  • Ensures formulation stability, performance, and commercial feasibility.
  • Guarantees that all required testing, validation, and documentation are completed on time to deliver a market‑ready product.
  • Contributes to the resolution of product or process-related issues, in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
  • Maintains continuous awareness of scientific and technological advances related to fragrance and cosmetic product development.
  • Proactively seeks new concepts, raw materials, technologies, technical opportunities, and partnerships for potential application in new products.

 

Management

  • Oversees projects led by team members, ensuring alignment with timelines, priorities, and quality standards.
  • Guides, supports, and develops team members’ technical and professional growth.
  • Proactively identifies process improvements and new ways of working to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Actively contributes to the overall organization and smooth functioning of the R&D department, collaborating closely with peers.

We'd love to meet you if you have

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in formula development within the fragrance and/or cosmetic industry

Education:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or Chemical Engineering

Languages:

  • Spanish and English required. French would be a plus.

  • Problem solving & decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment
